A blogger I'm not...

Just so there's no confusion, I'm really not a blogger and am only doing this after being prodded by multiple people. "You don't ever keep in touch with people...you need to show off your babies... blah, blah, blah...."After so many of these nudges I decided it would almost be easier to just give in and start a blog rather than try to explain why I don't. It would help if I actually had a reason. Besides, my babies are pretty darn cute, but then again I might be just a little bit biased. So... for all of you that I haven't seen or heard from in ages here's a brief run down of my life.

About 3 weeks after I graduated with my BS in sociology, Thane and I got married. I got my masters degree in rehab counseling in December of 2005 and got a job as a detention counselor where I worked for two years while Thane finished school. During that time we purchased a HUD home down in the island (and it really was a piece of hud) which we have slowly been remodeling, and had twins. Atticus and Hailee were born in November. About a month before they were born I retired from the detention center in order to take it easy and prepare to be a stay at home mom. I must admitt that there are moments when I really think working with the juvenile delinquents was preferable to spending all day with 2 screaming babies, but it's so worth it when you start getting those first little smiles. Thane finished his masters degree in mechanical engineering in December 2007 and got a job at ATK where he is working on a project called ARES which will replace the space shuttle and eventually take the U.S. to the moon again. In other words I married a rocket scientist (now how many people can say that?)

And thats basically the last 4 years of my life. Right now my life consists of feeding babies and changing diapers. I occasionally do find a few minutes to feed myself but sleep is still elusive. That being said, the majority of my blogs will likely be pictures of my sweet babies, but I might throw in some photos of our remodeling efforts too.
